Domain space

The management of the global domain name system as well as the system of the central servers that ensure the functioning of the DNS (Domain Name System) is realized through the independent ICANN organization (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers).

The Croatian Academic and Research Network (CARNet) manages the national domain of the Republic of Croatia (.hr) since 1993.

We remind that all free domains are necessary to extend once a year. Expiration notice of the domain are sent to the contact e-mail addresses listed in the .hr domain registry. We invite all users to check the accuracy of their data so they would not omit CARNet notices which may result in deactivation of the domain, and finally deleting.
